Sweet Treats

Wow been a while since stamping. I so enjoy it but been so busy lately it has been a neglected part of my life. Here are little Cocoa treat boxes I made for the nieces and nephews on Dan's side. I have a 3 god children on his side so didn't seem right to just give those 3 a box and not the other 6... They were fun for sure!!

Christmas Stamp-N-Stack

Hoping my invites for my annual Christmas Stamp-n-Stack didn't go out to late for you all. With Dan breaking his foot almost 2 weeks ago, I have been super busy doing things at the barn and the house while he tries to get it to heal. He will be back in the barn this weekend he is hoping so things will start to get back to normal I hope!!!

We had a pot-luck supper the other night and one of the ladies has this printed for Ryan from his trip. I think it is funny and he said he thought they were going to drop him.. lol

Have you ever thought that those croched flowers you see look so good?? Well Nichole Heady has a splendid toot here I was told the directions are super easy to follow but I don't crochet!! I do have friends that have sent me some and I need to use them on something very soon :)

I made 2 of these for 2 little girls for their 7th birthday. I hope they like them

Greenhouse Garden

I just love this stamp set. It is a 2 step and you do need the stamp-n-ma-jig to use it but it is so beautiful!! My cloverbuds made this for their simple stamped item for the fair and the judges did like it!!

Our Craft Lounge Blog Candy!

Happy Thursday!!! I've been looking forward to today!! - One reason is the RELEASE of new AWESOME stamp sets from Our Craft Lounge! 31 brand new sets! I've got to play with some of these images already and am in love with them!! Another reason is that I get to give away a new set called Gingerbread Fun. The little gingerbread boys work perfectly with my nestabilities to cut out a window on my small cookie box. I just cut down a cupcake box and it is so cute! I used stickles bought from eclecticpaperie. The nestabilites I got from Ellen Hutson store and I love them as they are so compact and that makes them easy to store and can be run through my cuttlebug or big shot!!


The paper used to make the "cookie" box is from Stampin' Up called Thoroughly Modern,and the ribbon is Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon from Stampin' Up.

Tweet Winter Wishes

Baby chicks

OK.. she hatched 4 of them out. She kicked the others out of the nest. We have at least 3 like her and the other one is from our red hen.

OMG!!!!

We had a hen sitting on eggs as she went broody.. Looky what I saw when I went up to get the eggs :) Hoping we find out how many hatched soon as she was sitting on 7 eggs!!!

OK.. we looked last night and there were 3 hatched. We put 3 eggs under her one day and 4 a day or two later.

Chickens

Wanted to start out with a picture of our chickens that will be 3 months old on Friday. We made them a bigger pen to run around in. Posted on Craigslist so hoping someone calls soon as having 100+ chicks that go through 3 bags of feed a week is expensive!! lol You can see the turkens in the first picture bottom right corner are 2 of them.

Bridal Shower

I waited until the last minute to do this card so it was a quick one. I have a bridal shower today so needed a card. I woke up at 5AM to do this and it took a while to figure out what I wanted to do.. lol

Alcohol inks

They can be super fun. This is a technique that one of my friends brought to my attention and it is fun!!! I buy my inks from Joy and Daisy I love their store.. lol

here is a video of our chickens done with my laptop. The ones in a box are our little bantam chicks and a couple of little ones. Also the white one Kookie named snowball is in there right near the outside of the box.

Lots of chicks

We got our baby chicks yesterday after 2 trips to Rothschild to get them at the Post office distribution center. The 2 boxes didn't come together and they couldn't find the 2nd one. So made 2 trips and got them going. The pictures aren't that good as we are fighting an infarred bulb in the heat lamps and that red color messes up the pictures.. lol We have 84 in our garage now.

We ordered a mixed assortment their choice so we have a lot of different breeds of chickens. We ordered all our chickens from www.mcmurrayhatchery.com

This first one is a Turken. It doesn't grow hair on it's long neck but is a good layer of brown eggs and can withstand cold temps well.

The 2nd picture is our Bantams. They are harder to keep going as they are small. The white one is our free exotic chick that they give you with your order. My girlfriend named it Snowball and it is doing very well considering we didn't think it would live at first but looks fine now.

These last two are a feeding frenzy.. Again sorry for the pics as that lightbulb isn't helping. They are all shades of brown, black, some yellow

Easter

I cased this Easter card from someone but can't remember who. I used it for my SAB Open House as I didn't think I would have another workshop or anything else before Easter!

Faijita Seasoning

I can't remember how many times I go to make faijita's only to find that I am out of seasoning. We make them often in this house! I found this recipe that is excellent!! I make a big container of it up so that I always have some on hand now.

Faijita Seasoning

1 TBLSP Cornstarch
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp crushed chicken bouillon cube
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp cumin

I had most of this in my cupboard anyway so it costs very little to make and I made up a big batch of it.

Box project

I think I might do this for my SAB Open House as I never did a new catty Open House yet. I really think these bees are adorable!!

Chickens

We got 12 laying hens last month and 2 roosters!! They are very docile birds as you can pick them up. They are laying pretty well too most days.

These are super fun to make but takes time to roll all the diapers.

New Catalog!!

I am super excited that the new catalog has come out. Not so much for the stamps in the catalog (my list is sort of small) but for the accessories (the papers I am in love with) and dies for the Big Shot in there!!
